The small print

Terms of use.

These are the rules for using MIRVA, at a store mirror and in your own account. They are short on purpose. By using MIRVA you agree to them.

Draft. A lawyer has not yet reviewed this text, and MIRVA is not yet open to the public. Square brackets mark details still to be confirmed.

1. Who can use MIRVA

  • Anyone may use a MIRVA mirror in a store that offers it. If you are under [18], use the camera only with a parent or guardian.
  • You may open a MIRVA account if you are [18] or over. One account for each person. Keep your password to yourself.

2. What MIRVA does

MIRVA suggests outfits from a store’s catalogue for the occasion and budget you give it. It can show you a picture or live video of yourself wearing a piece. It lets you keep looks, send them to your phone, and ask others to vote.

3. The picture is a likeness

A portrait or live look is made by software. It shows you roughly how a piece could look on you.

  • It is not a promise of fit. MIRVA does not measure you. Try the piece on.
  • It is not a promise of colour or detail. Fine embroidery, prints and the exact shade can differ from the real garment.
  • Unstitched fabric is shown stitched in one style. Your tailor’s cut will be your own.

Decide on the real garment, not on the picture.

4. Prices, sizes and stock belong to the store

MIRVA reads prices, sizes and stock from the store’s own listing at a point in time. They can be out of date. The store’s price at the till and the stock on its shelves are what count. Buying, paying, exchanging and returning are between you and the store, under the store’s own rules. MIRVA does not sell anything and does not take payment for the store.

5. Membership

MIRVA is the membership everyone gets. It is free.

What you getLimit
A wardrobe of looks you keepUp to 60 looks

  • Monthly allowances start again on the 1st of each month.
  • The free membership stays free. We will not start charging for what it includes today.

MIRVA Private is a paid membership that is not open yet. If it opens, it will be by invitation, and we will show you its price and its terms before you pay anything.

Membership never buys a discount. Prices are always the store’s.

6. Using MIRVA fairly

Please do not:

  • use a picture of someone else without their permission;
  • use a picture of a child, unless you are the child’s parent or guardian;
  • put up pictures that are indecent, or meant to mock, harass or harm anyone;
  • pretend to be someone else;
  • share a board in order to embarrass someone;
  • copy the catalogue in bulk, overload the service, or try to get around its limits or its security;
  • use MIRVA for a business of your own without our written agreement.

We may suspend or close an account that does any of these. If we do, we will tell you why, unless the law stops us.

7. Your pictures and what you save

Your pictures are yours. You allow MIRVA to handle them only as far as is needed to give you the service: to make your portraits, to keep the ones you save, and to show them to the people you share a board with. The Privacy Notice sets out the rest.

Pictures of garments belong to the stores. A portrait of you in a store’s garment is for your personal use.

8. Boards

Anyone with a board’s link can see it and vote until it closes. You are responsible for who you send the link to. Close a board at any time from your account.

9. When things do not work

MIRVA depends on the internet and on a try-on engine run by another company. Sometimes a portrait will fail, be slow, or look wrong. We will fix what we can. We do not promise that MIRVA will always be available.

[Limits on MIRVA’s liability: to be written by the lawyer.]

10. Leaving

You can delete your account at any time from your account page. Deleting it removes your wardrobe, portraits and boards.

11. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we will put the new date at the top and tell you on your account page before the change takes effect. If you keep using MIRVA after that date, you accept the new terms. If you do not, you can delete your account.

12. Law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan. [Courts or other forum: to be written by the lawyer.]
